From Clothes to Bows!

My creative side has been running wild lately with ribbon and transfers... :) As a stress relief I have turned to creating clothes and bows for my little one and all the little ones in coming soon to our family! It's been quite fun and I am having a blast teaching myself how to make things for the babies. James loves that I am making them, and not buying them! :)

Here is a little peek at what I've been up to!

One Year Anniversary

Today James and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. :) What a sweet day it was and so precious to think about where our lives have gone in just one short year. To think that in 6 weeks we will welcome a baby girl into our beautiful family is an amazing thing. We had a delicious dinner at Shula's 347 Grill and enjoyed the best apple cobbler we've had in a long time! James loved his anniversary gift, a new tailgate handle for his beloved truck. I can't get enough of my beautiful Willow Trees :)

We have been dying to dig into our wedding cake all year and let's just say it was well worth the wait! Just as delicious as it was a year ago :)

I couldn't be happier to be married to my best friend and love, I know the future holds great things for us and I couldn't be happier to live out my days with such a wonderful man. <3 Two really is better than one and today our wedding song has so many more meanings to us.

To many more years of love like this <3

Fetal development in pregnancy week 32

Approximate ~length 17 in | 43 cm ~weight 4 lbs | 1.8 kg

In the latest womb reports, our amazing baby has now developed sensitivity to temperature! Which means I'm likely to get a swift kick if I put a hot pad or bag of ice on my ginormous belly.

For the Elton John lovers out there - baby’s got blue eyes.

Actually, even if you're too young to know who Elton is, all babies have blue eyes at this point. This could easily change after birth (or even between now and labor), but for the time being, blue it is.

Thanks to their recently matured lungs and a strengthening immune system, over 90% of babies born in their 32nd week survive!

So - go ahead and throw a mini-party right now because it’s pretty much a done deal - we've got a human-bean that's going to make it!

That's not to say we actually want our wee womb-squatter to pack her bags and move out now, because she'd still end up in the ICU for a good while, rather than in our arms at home.

Babies are best when fully baked! Only 7 more weeks to go!!! :D

A Scheduled Birthday :)

Today I got the final word from the doctors office on Lily's scheduled arrival. We are scheduled to deliver via c-section on July 7th, 2011 @ 11:00am. We will arrive at the hospital at 8:30am to begin the process and are told not to eat or drink anything after midnight on the 6th...This is of course if we actually make it all the way to July 7th! According to James, he is waging his bet on the third week in June. Lily has been quite active lately with not as much room as it seems she would like to have so he is not thinking we will make it all the way to 39 weeks. My thoughts are as long as she is happy and healthy she can come any time after June 3rd when school gets out. :) Here's to meeting our new baby girl in just a few short weeks!!! :)

Oh yeah, and that Pepcid AC...not all the doctor cracked it up to be! I still end up supplementing it with Tums throughout the day. The bigger she gets the worse the acid feeling gets...

This one is for you Celeste!!

James was so excited when we opened the package from his sister Celeste to find his prized Baby Bjorn that he opened it right away. Once it was on his mission began... James could not wait to see how it would double as a beer holder, his mission, to fit a 6 pack into the Bjorn...and YES, he sure did! :)

Hello Lily!! We can't wait to meet you!!
I love you to pieces already! :)

Almost 30 weeks... 73 days left to go...

So month 7 has been fun for us...Our schedules have been full of weddings, baby showers, field trips, and so many other exciting events. Our minds have been in just one place though...meeting Baby Lily. :) I guess we have reached that point in the pregnancy where we are just so ready for her to come!

During our visit to the doctor on Thursday, she checked Lily's heart rate and measured her and we are right on track! She also told me that because of the horrible acid attacks I have in the middle of the night to move up from Tums to Pepcid AC...so $12.00 later I sure hope it works! We are definitely testing out that old wives tale relating acid/heartburn to a full head of hair! :) I can't wait to see Lily to find out!! :)

She seems to be running out of room in there, I'm not quite sure how we will make it another 9 1/2 weeks!! I will post belly pics soon, I just realized I haven't posted any yet! :)
